This Monday we had quite a short school day. We had a quest lecturer, Ilpo Kärkkäinen (aka Resound) who is an indie producer and DJ from Finland. He writes a blog. He says in his blog that "I want to help as many people as possible to elevate themselves in each of these areas and become the best versions of themselves."

I have no idea why the layout looks so wrong on this blog post. That text should't be so small and pictures are in the wrong places. I am trying to fix this.

Lecture's topic was the 4 powers of blogging. I think that it is important to learn more about blogging because is is for example a great way to connect with people. We have had already other lectures about blogging before though.

The 4 powers of blogging

1. The first tip was "keep the momentum going - stay active". People will read your blog more likely if you write frequently. If you don't want to write publicly you can write just to yourself. It could be like a journal. Blogging is also a great place to be creative and discover new ideas.

2. Important thing to realize is that blogging really takes time. When you write on your blog you should also keep in mind that you should be transparent and that you are trustworthy. If everything works fine blogging can become a solid business! There are different ways you can make money when you write a blog. You can use Adwords or Adsense and a great way is also if you can sell your own products. You can also get free products for companies to review on your blog. Here is a great article about passive and active income!

3. Blogging is a great way to connect with like-minded people. It can also give you an extra motivation boost. But important thing is that you show that you are vulnerable. It shows that you are a real human. Make sure that your information is easy find. People want to know that who you are and they don't have much patience to search it. Don't be afraid to ask people to comment you posts! And I think that the most important tip was that you don't have to perfect!

4. You have to blog about something you are interested in so you have motivation to do it. It doesn't have to be a popular subject. In the beginning just start to write about something. The blog changes with you. Have and define goals! Even weekly goals. You will progress better with them. Use SEO! It makes your blog more visible.

This week we didn't have a task from Digipeople Studio because they didn't have time to plan something for us. We also have to change "our company" entirely because of this same reason. It is a shame because I would like to think that our group is one of the most motivated ones but "our company" doesn't seem to be. We don't know what is going to happen but we are not too exited that we have to do tasks to another unfamiliar company. But if we think positively this thing means that we get to network with more people!

We didn't have more school this week. Just a test on Thursday but we could do it online at our own homes. I think it went pretty good. That's all for this week!

Have a nice day!
