Exiting opportunities

This was the second week of our digital business course. This week we had interesting lectures about social media marketing. I think that I learned some things, which is a good thing.

I learned that there are important steps that you need to follow when you are marketing on social media.

IDENTIFYING THE TARGET MARKET

- what will be said

- how will it be said

- when will it be said

- where will it be said

- who will say it

DETERMINING THE COMMUNICATION OBJECTS

- Marketers seek a purchase response that resultsfrom a consumer decision-making process that includes the stages of buyer readiness

DESIGNING A MESSAGE

- AIDA model (attention, interest, desire and action)

- rational, emotional and moral appear

SELECTING A MESSAGE SOURCE

- The message’s impact on the target audience is alsoaffected by how the audience views the communicator.

COLLECTING FEEDBACK

- Involves the communicator understanding the effect on the target audience by measuring behavior resulting from the behavior

The 5 Ms of advertising.

As the picture says, the 5 Ms of advertising are mission, money, message, media and measurement.

On Friday Ilkka Kurkela told us about career planning. We also had to write down things that we are good at. In pairs we were given a task to tell each about one occasion in work life when we had really done well even though it might have been a really hard situation.

There is an opportunity to work as an intern in Finland Center in New York. That would be such an amazing opportunity! I am definitely going to give it a shot. I need to write my CV in English, write a job application and send it to Jaana Rehnstrom, who is the President of Finland Center.
